As a charity proud to have been awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award (the equivalent of the MBE for charities) in 2012, we are delighted to support all of the events and celebrations being held to mark the monarch’s remarkable 70 year reign.
As well as the extra bank holiday (for those who are not yet retired!) there is a plethora of events from street parties to beacon lighting ceremonies, fireworks displays, tea parties and music celebrations planned to enable everyone to feel part of the celebrations.
At Elms Field, just around the corner from our office in Erftstadt Court, Wokingham Town Council is hosting the Party in the Park with live music, food, drink and family fun from 2.30pm to 9pm. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome to attend. There is a series of other events across the Borough, in every community and across all parishes, offering the opportunity to be part of these celebrations.
